He Took $7.6M to Kill Riek. He Bought Homes with It. Now He Wants the NSS. This Is Deng Ajing.
The Unknown Butcher: Deng Ajing’s Bloody Trail of Treason
Born and raised in Khartoum, Ambassador Ajing Deng Ajing was groomed within the northern elite networks that shaped Sudan’s intelligence structures. Long before South Sudan’s independence, he was navigating the dual spheres of Sudanese intelligence and SPLM politics.
Fluent in neither English nor Arabic, Ajing rose from a support staff post at the South Sudan Embassy in South Africa—where he reportedly clashed with career diplomats and replaced them with personal allies—to one of the most powerful figures in Juba’s presidential inner circle. Today, he is the man who controls access to President Kiir, manipulates presidential appointments, and undermines peace partners with alarming precision.
Family Ties and Strategic Nepotism
Ajing has built a network of loyalists, mostly relatives, in critical national security roles:
Gen. Dominic Juuk Chuum, his cousin, now Executive Director in the Office of the President—promoted from Colonel to Major General despite reportedly failing the PSc Course in Rwanda;
Brig. Gen. Bang Wieu, another cousin, now Head of Presidential Security and Protection—appointed despite only completing a 4-week security course in Uganda;
Gen. Manasa Machar Bol Yai, yet another cousin, whom Ajing is lobbying to install as Director of the Internal Security Bureau (ISB), aiming to fully control the NSS.
Ajing also acts as chief advisor to VP Bol Mel on international affairs, reportedly feeding disinformation that has resulted in the dismissal or arrest of multiple officials—including Gen. Amol Lual Areech, the former private secretary to the President, who was allegedly targeted for questioning Ajing’s growing influence.
The Spouse Connection and Alleged Vendetta
Ajing is married to Ambassador Treaza Peter Lam Lul, originally from Akobo or Ayod. According to multiple sources, she harbors a personal vendetta against FVP Dr. Riek Machar Teny, stemming from the death of her father during the 1991 SPLM split. This background may explain the intensely personal and persistent hostility directed toward Dr. Machar and those aligned with him.
This marital alliance, embedded in both diplomacy and grievance, further tightens Ajing’s control over foreign service channels—and may be reinforcing his obsession with removing key SPLM-IO figures by any means necessary.
Forgery Scandal: Documented Cases of Institutional Fraud
Ajing is already the central figure in a growing scandal involving forged recommendation letters in the name of the Twic Mayardit Community Association:
Feb 2025: A forged letter led to the appointment of Mr. John Mabior Marup as Twic County Commissioner;
May 2025: A second forged letter unsuccessfully pushed for Warrap State governorship;
June 2025: A third forgery, recommending three names without consent, is now pending on the President’s desk.
These actions constitute criminal misuse of community identity for political manipulation and demand urgent accountability.
Alleged Assassination Plot
Credible reports received by SSFDA indicate that Amb. Ajing coordinated with foreign operatives in South Africa in an attempted poisoning plot targeting FVP Dr. Riek Machar. It is alleged that he received $7.6 million USD from Bol Mel to facilitate this mission.
Though the operation has reportedly been slowed by internal resistance within NSS, Ajing is working relentlessly to remove current NSS leadership and replace it with loyal family members—including Gen. Manasa Bol—to regain control and eliminate any internal obstacles.
Call to Action
SSFDA formally calls for:
Immediate investigation into the allegations against Amb. Ajing Deng Ajing;
Suspension of all appointments tied to forged documents or nepotistic influence;
International oversight of threats to SPLM-IO leadership and the peace agreement;
Full audit of security appointments, particularly within the Presidency and NSS.
“Amb. Ajing is not a civil servant. He is a shadow statesman with a personal militia disguised as national appointments. This is how coups are built—not with tanks, but with silence, manipulation, and blood money.”
We will not let silence bury the dead or protect the killers.
